Vatican II in Plain English
Bill Huebsch, Thomas More, 1997
Reviewer: John Kane
A very useful set of three-books on Vatican II, in simplified, "sense-line" format. The first volume [The Council] gives a history and overview of the Council. The second volume [The Constitutions] is Huebsch's simplified version of the text of the Council's four major "constitutions" on the Church, Revelation, the Liturgy, and the Church in the Modern World. The third volume gives the same sort of simplified transliteration of the Council's 12 other "Decrees and Declarations" on ecumenism, religious freedom, non-Christian religions, the office of bishop, priesthood, religious life, and so forth.
